Squad Training - Lets Get Serious!
At Gatton Swim Centre and in Association with the Gatton Swimming Club, we run a full program of Squad Swimming Training.

Our aim is to provide quality coaching to all levels of swimmers for all purposes including safety, fun and/or competition.
We are a great believer in the saying: 'Perfect practice makes practice perfect'; and our philosophy is quality before quantity. We will therefore be focussed at ALL times on on swimming any distance well, with good technique before we attempt to swim long distance.
Junior Squad Swimming Training, 12 and Under.
This level steps up Squad Training and coaching. Swimmers will continue to improve on good technque in all strokes as well as all starts, turns and fnishes. Drills and skills for all strokes are taught and reinforced.
Race preparation and squad etiquette are instilled in the younger swmmer in this level.
Senior Squad Swimming Training, 12 and Over.
Swimmers in this level may be recreational or competitive but all will continue to improve fitness and skills.
Coaches will continue to focus on all aspects of race preparation as they extend the swimmer's knowledge of swimming. This may include stretching, nutrition, warm ups, cool downs, dry land traiing, stroke specific technique, race planning and strategies. Swimmers will not only learn to compete, but how to be a team player and a good competitor.
